History

Satrotec AG was founded in 2001 as a spin-off of the company Honeywell-Satronic. Since that time Satrotec has been legally and financially independent. As all employees switched to Satrotec with the spin-off, the know-how developed over 30 years (Satronic, Honeywell-Satronic since 1996) could be saved.

In 2011 part of the production was relocated to the EU in order to maintain competitiveness. Satrotec now has a newly built development facility in Switzerland, near the German border, and a production facility in Romania, which work in close cooperation with each other.

• Development facility in Eglisau (Switzerland)

  Your contact person is usually at the main office in Switzerland. You describe the design of your product and your requirements and we will do our utmost to fulfill them in the most cost-effective manner. Our experts accompany you throughout the entire process. You benefit from short production times and the fact that you have a single contact person.

   

  The following are carried out in Switzerland:

  ■ Project management

  ■ Engineering

  ■ Stamping through casting technology

  ■ Tools (including prototypes and revisions)

  ■ Pilot series production as preparation for industrialization and automated
  manufacturing

  ■ Testing procedures and verification, product inspection and approval

  ■ Logistics

  ■ Quality management

   

  Once everything has been inspected and approved, mass production is started in Romania. Manufacture in Switzerland is also possible if required.

• Production facility in Alba Iulia (Romania)

  As Satrotec has a production facility in Romania, customers reap the benefits of the EU area. Contact persons on site are expert plastic material technologists and production managers who speak German, English and Romanian. They are used to completely satisfying the needs of an international client base with a well-coordinated team. For example, we have been an A supplier for the VW group for years now.

   

  Simplified logistics and maximum flexibility due to shift work are further advantages. The two offices in Eglisau and Alba Iulia enable full warranty in the case of any stoppages – if there are increased requirements in terms of production capacity, production can take place at both locations at the same time.
