Expansion supports growth in 2018
Satrotec has been an established and acknowledged supplier to its customers since 2001. In 2018 Satrotec once again is able to report an increased number of incoming orders and will employ more than 150 people at its location in Alba lulia at the end of the year.
Apart from the purchase of new injection moulding machines and fully automated machines for cable assembly, investments in key members of staff and executives are now vital for ensuring our continued success. After all, stronger staff loyalty is nothing but beneficial.
As of 1 July 2018, the management board will be expanded to include two new executives, who will take over the technology, administration, finances and quality management tasks of Thomas Ammann.
The QA team was strengthened even further in January 2018 and now comprises of eight employees. Work preparation will also be gradually expanded. We aim to further improve our planning and production so as to achieve an on-time delivery rate of 100 %.
Investments to the tune of approx. € 1 000 000.00 will be needed up to the end of the year. Three new injection moulding machines have been delivered and installed since January 2018, 3 more machines are scheduled by the end of the year. Additional specialists for the fields of injection moulding, stamping and maintenance will be an important addition to the team.
A production line for the fully automated extrusion coating of plugs went into operation in May. The injection moulding equipment, such as dryers, tempering units and hot runner control systems was also modernised in 2017 and 2018. We also took this opportunity to implement environmental aspects, including energy savings and a higher utilisation of material at the same time.
Connecting components in the automotive sector, components in the field of facility management and sensors for a variety of applications are among the most important products in 2018. In addition, customers increased the volume of orders for extrusion-coated cables and assemblies significantly.
Satrotec AG is on course for growth and its organisational expansion is proceeding according to plan.
The enclosed organisation chart shows you the new responsibilities.
We kindly request that you show the new functionaries the same amount of trust you displayed to the ones already known.
We are looking forward to working together with you.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely

SATROTEC starts 2018 with the opening of a new warehouse
and a new injection moulding machine
Eglisau, 31 January 2018
SATROTEC starts 2018 with the opening of a new warehouse and a new injection moulding machine
Another milestone has been reached. After only three months’ construction, our new 500 m² warehouse in Alba lulia has been put into operation. This has increased our production area to 2,500 m².
New customer orders for 2018 offered the opportunity to procure more injection moulding machines. Employees from the manufacturing, technology, quality and purchasing units compared suitable injection moulding machines with appropriate final processing elements such as dryers, tempering units, hot-runner controls, handling for fully-automatic overmoulding, etc.
Installation complete. The new ZE900 injection moulding machine ready for use.

Cristina Pacurar – Operator, Madalin Tufa – Shift Supervisor and Lucian Pustianu – Machine Setter
The team was most impressed with the performance, production quality and delivery reliability of Haitian. The first Zhafir ZE900 injection moulding machine was delivered on 18 January 2018 and, following the installation and employee training, is already in use.
A further five new injection moulding machines representing a total investment of approximately €700,000.00 should be installed by the end of the year.
Thanks to this manufacturing equipment, we produce connection components
for the automotive industry, plastic housings for the building management sector and lead frames and sensors moulded for a range of different applications.
The volume of orders for moulded cables and mountings has also increased considerably over the past two years. In addition to modern production resources, employee and manager training courses are also planned in order to help us achieve our planned growth targets.
Growth at the Swiss system supplier Satrotec
Eglisau, March 2016
Growth at the Swiss system supplier Satrotec
A number of SMEs in the industry are currently struggling with the economic environment. The strong Swiss franc in particular is posing a serious problem for many export-oriented enterprises. It is thus all the more gratifying to hear some positive news in this field. Satrotec AG from Eglisau near Zurich is a system supplier for extrusion-coated parts – from stamped parts and electronics, diagnostic cables, right through to cables and connectors for the automotive industry. They realised at an early date that they would have to shift part of their production elsewhere in Europe if they wanted to remain competitive. This is why a production plant was opened in Alba Iulia in 2011. This move has now paid off. Last year, 2015, the company was able to grow in all areas and further growth has been forecast for this year too.

New injection moulding machines
Eglisau, March 2016
New injection moulding machines
In February 2016, Satrotec AG commissioned two additional injection moulding machines. These machines achieve pressing forces of 90 to 100 tons and automatically manufacture plastic modules for the automotive industry from thermoplastics or elastomers.
The machines impress with their cost-effectiveness, optimum energy efficiency thanks to a low energy consumption and reliable quality.
Circuit boards are placed into the tool and completely extrusion coated fully automatically by a handling system. These components are used in the field of transmission control and sensor technology. These products are an integral part of our new production line for sensor technology in Alba lulia.
A further 200T injection moulding machine will be put into operation in April followed by the next 35T injection moulding machine in June.
In this way we are able to increase our flexibility and capacity for our customers.
